Heritage & Co Jewellery Warranty
1. Warranty Coverage
Each Heritage & Co creation is warranted against manufacturing
defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2)
years from the original date of purchase, when purchased
through an official Heritage & Co channel.
This warranty applies solely to defects arising from faulty
craftsmanship or material failure and does not constitute a guarantee
against normal wear, accidental damage, or improper use.
2. What Is Covered
This warranty covers manufacturing defects, including but not
limited to:
- Faulty solder joints
- Structural defects
- Setting failures caused by defective workmanship
- Stone loosening or displacement resulting from a proven manufacturing defect
Where a defect covered under this warranty is confirmed, Heritage
& Co will, at its discretion, repair or correct the affected
creation at no cost.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, thinning of
metal, or fading of finishes - Rhodium plating wear on white gold
- Accidental damage or impact
- Loss or theft of the creation or any component
- Misuse, negligence, or improper handling
- Unauthorized repairs, resizing, modifications, or alterations
- Damage resulting from chemicals, swimming, gym activity, or
physical impact - Improper storage or improper cleaning
- Environmental exposure, including saltwater, chlorine, heat,
pressure, or extreme conditions - Routine maintenance, inspection, or cleaning
- Force majeure events, including fire, flood, or natural
disasters
Stone loss is covered only where it is
demonstrably caused by a manufacturing defect.
4. Proof of Warranty
Warranty service requires:
- Valid proof of purchase
- The engraved serial code present on the creation
Heritage & Co reserves the right to refuse warranty service
where proof of purchase or serial identification cannot be provided.
5. Warranty Eligibility
This warranty is valid solely for the original purchaser
and is not transferable.
The creation must have been purchased through an official Heritage
& Co channel.
6. Geographic Scope
Warranty service is primarily available within South Africa.
International warranty claims are considered on a case-by-case
basis and are subject to approval by Heritage & Co.
For international claims:
- The client is responsible for inbound shipping costs
- Heritage & Co will cover return shipping upon completion
of approved warranty service
7. Shipping & Handling
For approved warranty repairs:
- The client is responsible for shipping the creation to
Heritage & Co - Heritage & Co will cover return shipping to the client
Heritage & Co is not responsible for loss or damage occurring
during shipping arranged by the client.
8. Assessment & Resolution
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and assessment by
Heritage & Co.
Where a defect covered under this warranty is confirmed, Heritage
& Co will repair or correct the creation at no cost.
Where the issue is not covered under warranty, Heritage & Co
will provide a service estimate prior to undertaking any paid repair.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heritage & Co shall
not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of use
- Loss of value
- Emotional distress
- Incidental costs
This warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty applicable to
Heritage & Co creations and replaces all other express or implied
warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Modification of Warranty Terms
Each Heritage & Co creation is subject to the warranty terms
in effect at the time of purchase.
Heritage & Co reserves the right to modify warranty terms for
future purchases without retroactive effect.
11. Governing Law
This warranty is governed by the laws of South Africa.
Any disputes arising under this warranty shall be subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
