Daily Wear and Handling
Your jewellery is designed to be worn and enjoyed. Still, everyday activities expose metal and stones to:
• Oils and lotions
• Makeup and perfume
• Abrasive contact
• Hard surfaces
Best practice:
Remove rings and bracelets before:
• Applying lotions, sunscreen, or perfumes
• Cooking or washing dishes
• Exercising or heavy manual work
• Showering or swimming
This limits buildup, scratching and chemical exposure.
Cleaning Your Jewellery
Routine cleaning preserves brilliance and removes surface buildup without affecting finish or structure.
Method
For best results, use the Heritage & Co Jewellery Care Kit.
- Apply a small amount of the pH-neutral cleaning solution to the stone and setting.
- Allow it to sit briefly to loosen oils and residue.
- Gently brush using the supplied soft-bristle brush, focusing beneath the setting where buildup collects.
- Rinse with lukewarm water.
- Pat dry using the Heritage microfiber cloth.
This method removes oils and residue while maintaining metal integrity and stone security.
Avoid Using
• Bleach or chlorine
• Abrasive household cleaners
• Toothpaste or baking soda
• Ultrasonic cleaners without professional assessment
These materials can dull metal, strip plating, or compromise settings over time.
