Bracelet Sizing Guide
How to Measure Your Wrist for the Perfect Bracelet Fit
Getting the right bracelet size matters. Too tight it feels uncomfortable. Too loose it slides off. The goal is a fit that reflects your style without guesswork.
What You’ll Need
A strip of paper, ribbon, string and a ruler
Step-by-Step Measurement
1. Measure Your Wrist Circumference
Wrap the measuring tape or string around your wrist at the point you’ll wear the bracelet, just below the wrist bone. Keep it snug but not tight. Mark the overlap. This gives your wrist circumference.
If using paper or string:
- Wrap it around your wrist
- Mark where the ends meet
- Lay flat and measure from end to mark with a ruler
Determine Your Bracelet Size
Bracelets aren’t the same as wrist measurements. You’ll add a small allowance so the bracelet sits comfortably on your wrist.
Common Fit Allowances
Snug Fit
Add ~0.5–1.0 cm to your wrist circumference for a close fit. Best if you want the bracelet to sit close to your wrist.
Comfort Fit (Standard)
Add ~2 cm to wrist measurement. This is the most common fit for chain, link, gemstone and most Heritage & Co. bracelet styles.
Loose Fit
Add ~3 cm or more. Ideal if you want the bracelet to hang slightly or stack with other pieces.

Tips for Specific Bracelet Types
Chain & Link Bracelets
These often come with adjustable links. Choose the size that matches your comfort preference but confirm with wrist measurement first.
Bangles
Measure hand width (widest part past the knuckles) instead of wrist circumference. Your hand must slide through comfortably.
Cuff Bracelets
Measure around the wrist joint and consider how open the cuff design is. Many cuffs are adjustable within a size range.
Final Fit Advice
- If your wrist measurement falls between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.
- Consider whether you like bracelets to move freely or sit close — this guides how much allowance you add.
- Two wrists can differ slightly in size. Always measure the wrist you’ll wear the bracelet on.
